So far this season, Milwaukee is a collective 37-29 when Parra, Bush, and Suppan start, with the totals going 31-31. Meanwhile, LA is 30-30 when Billingsley, Lowe and Kershaw start with the totals at 24-36.
Brewers OF Ryan Braun, who leads the team in batting, HRs and RBI this season, has missed recent action with sore ribs, and his status for this weekend’s series is questionable.
These two teams have only met once before this season, when the Dodgers took two of three games from the Brewers in Milwaukee back in May. In the second game of that series Lowe beat Parra 6-4, and in the series finale Billingsley beat Sheets 7-2.
Through Sunday’s action, the MLB totals were 51-63 in Brewers games this season, 51-65 in Dodgers games, and 24-35 in games played at Dodger Stadium, which were averaging less than seven total runs – least among all ML ballparks.
